Personal Project: Old X-Men Page

I had loved this old X-Men Series from the late 80's of the Phoenix Saga, which is absolutely NOTHING like the crappy movie they put out years ago (stupid Marvel movie writers!!!). So, I found a blk/wht pic of this one Splash Page & decided to work it in Ai for now; finishing it up in PSD later. This is my progress thus far. I still have a lot to do, but I'm slowly getting there! Hope you all like it.

Here is a 3D Scene we had to add preferred lighting, textures & camera angles to so as to set a particular mood, if you will. I wanted to have some fun with it, so I added some Fan-Boy touches to it. This is my favorite rendition. Love the colors! Hope you like it too.

Here is my first Vid for the Class, a product review on the Wii Fit System. Again, I had probs with the Premiere software, so I had to throw it together using iMovie (O Lord-! never again, please-?!?!?) It's a little crooked & sound is not the best, but still, it's some OK work considering. In any event, hope you all enjoy it! Don't forget to check out my other Video Montage for Class.

HA!!!! I got a perfect score for my Video Montage below!!! YEAAAAAAAAA!!! That's an 'A', folks! This was my second attempt at a vid for this Class. I had a great time putting it all together. Took some work, but the end result was great!

I will post my first Vid, a sort of Product Review. It's a little weird & awkward because it was my first time ever in doing this sort of thing. Nevertheless, it was one of those used in Class as a fairly good example of work.

For those who were highly critical & implied wicked & bad motives to my works - hey! I'm really proud of what I've done! And apparently, so was my Professor (a professional Videographer & multimedia guru) and many others who simply appreciate the artform for what it is - multimedia Class room Production/Project, nothing more. Yea, me!!

Digital Vid Class Final

We had a Final Project due for my Digital Video class where we needed to make a Montage of something we like or enjoy, like a hobby or a special event or something, to appropriate musical score. So, I made one of me making one of my Japanese models. This one was challenging because it involved some wiring, which I am not a strong fan of messing with. But I did it. I had some fun doing it all. Unfortunately, since I had probs with Premiere Pro, I had to do this with iMovie. Not the best stuff, but it got the job done. And btw, it does have sound to it!! Turn on the speakers (but not too loud) and enjoy! Any comments are welcomed.....

Final Project

Here is my latest works from my Storyboard Class. We had to do all the creation & panels for some old story of a creepy couple that ate little bad children. One of my panels is f the guy, with the little boy under the couch, waiting impatiently for the water to boil to put the boy in so as to eat when done. (like I said - creepy). So, I did this up from my pencils in Illustrator, and finally, in Photoshop CS4.

I am pretty proud of the effort; I may add more touches to it just for grins. But I need to let things go & move on to my other homework.

Hope it makes you feel a little uncomfortable; it's supposed to. (not something I enjoy doing though)

New Works

It's been a very busy & stressful Semester, esp. with all the sicknesses I've had, plus lots of homework, I have been ignoring my Blog.

I do apologize. Here is another work I did for some friends in the Congregation for a Jehovah's Witnesses International Assembly in Honolulu, Hawaii this past November. These are not extraordinary pieces, but they are fun to pass out & use as bookmarkers. They are double-sided, and I have another one. But this will suffice for now.

Event 4 Son, Design Fun

My son has a party coming up. So, I made the Invitations. I wanted to be simple, but creative; it's a video game theme, so I took his fav stuff and mushed them all together, plus some Japanese to boot. It was fun. Way more effort went into it than I wanted, but no biggie. This was just for fun! No commercial activities involved whatsoever!

My Little 'Gundam' Warriors

Everyone who really knows me, know that I'm crazy about 'Gundam' in almost any form! Be it model, action figure, anime, poster, notebook, manga or other media - I crave it!! For some years I've been doing my own little creations. Here are two that I did as pencil, then PSD and Ai (Illustrator)it for color for the final product. Hope it inspires others.

New Biz Card Design

I always enjoy getting others' Business Cards, carefully examining the layout, design and color scheme. You can tell when a truly good Artist did the work. I love collecting them. I make new ones every other year; they're usually too complicated and detailed. So I am trying for simplicity (my 'simplicity' still seems too complicated for most), but still have flare. Hope this works out. Opinions?

Original Mechs

I did this one up as a combined layout of three individual pics. It was a task to make them look similar, yet as individuals, in design and function.

I displayed this as a huge poster at the Campus Student Exhibition Friday. It was loved by quite a few; the question of color is always brought up. I plan to do that later after I complete the semester. I do love this effort, and hope you do as well.

Dragon-Warrior Mech

When I'm inspired, I do complicated art. I make it so detailed that it would be a pain to redo, even once more. Here is one I'm proud of (and adding color much later). A dragon-like, samurai look with Gundam touches; add the fantasy touches and you have this masterpiece (I call it...!).

Others are trying to do this in color and maybe even 3D. I feel for them. It will ba a while before that happens. Enjoy!

Retro-Fun Shirts

Did this one as a theme for an element - promethium, a silver-white, burning metal - and combined retro skate-boarding concepts with cosmic, techno-gigs, and came up with this for a class assignment! Kinda fun doing it, but had plenty of probs using Ai on it; found out it was the Ai for my old iBook, not the Intel-based MAC I have now. And there were probs all across the board. Got better when I switched up.

My Class Ad Project

I have an absolute love for Vocal Trance/Trance/Techno music! And my favorite DJ and Composer is the internationally-renowned Armin Van Buuren. We had an assignment to do an Ad combining our fav Artist and chaacteristics of their style with our fav artist' styles, which is the Gundam Mech designer Hajime Katoki. So I came up with this. It was a task, but fun to put together nonetheless.

I did this for some beloved relatives originally in pencil, pen and markers. I had fun doing it, as did my beloved relatives. I always enjoyed Cartoon Network when they had Shows like 'PowerPuff Girls' and 'Samurai Jack' on it. I actually miss those a bit.

I made a few changes when I did it up in Illustrator and Photoshop, like adding gradients. I hope to put more in here soon.
